This aquarium paves the way for a new approach to aquascaping. This is a mimetic genre of an entirely different nature. No pun intended.

We’re no longer trying to reproduce a particular style of nature or landscape. The motif to be imitated refers to a cultural source this time.

Here comes Arachnae, the monstrous arthropod from Tolkien’s fantasy literature! To be more precise, it’s the
Lord of the Rings
trilogy that has always fed the imagination ofAquarilis creator Laurent Garcia. The figurative arachnid is directly inspired by screens from Jackson’s films.

Imitation goes a long way. The beast is largely made up of spider roots…
